An unauthenticated Bifrost AI gateway flaw ran commands from a single HTTP request

Reported · 1 source · CVE-2026-90898

What happened

CVE-2026-90898, rated CVSS 9.8, let an unauthenticated attacker run arbitrary commands on Bifrost AI gateway versions before 2.1.0 with one HTTP request.

Why it matters

A gateway holds the credentials for every model and service behind it, and this one asked for none. Patch to 2.1.0, then ask whether the management endpoints were ever meant to be reachable at all.
