Microsoft patched a CVSS 10.0 privilege escalation flaw in Azure AI Foundry

Reported · 1 source · CVE-2026-85889

What happened

CVE-2026-85889, a missing authentication flaw in Azure AI Foundry rated CVSS 10.0, let an attacker escalate privileges over the network. Microsoft has patched it.

Why it matters

A maximum-severity missing-auth bug in a hyperscaler's own AI platform. The fix is meant to apply automatically, which is worth confirming rather than assuming, and worth asking what else in that platform gates privileged functions on nothing at all.
