AI agent incident

A Spanish regulator received what may be the first agentic AI breach report

Reported · 2 sources

What happened

Spanish regulators received a breach report describing an AI agent that chained a login, a vulnerability discovery and data access against a Spanish organization, then modified personal data. Neither outlet named the organization.

Why it matters

The precedent here is regulatory rather than technical. Breach notification rules were written around human attackers and human timelines, and somebody has now had to file one for an agent's work.
