AI coding agents exposed 13,000 internal images, including billing records, on GitHub

Reported · 1 source

What happened

Glow reported that AI coding agents uploaded more than 13,000 internal images, including billing records, to public GitHub repositories across more than 300 organizations. Reporting tied the exposure to screenshots the agents took during code-review tasks and pushed to developers' personal repositories.

Why it matters

No attacker was involved. The agents did their code-review task, and the screenshots landed in public repositories across more than 300 organizations. Where a coding agent may push is an access decision, and in most teams it defaults to anywhere the developer can.
